Concorde World Tour 1972
On June 2 1972 Concorde 002 Embarked on World Sales Tour…
In memory of Concorde Engineer John Dunlevy Simfest will be following the route taken by Concorde Prototype 002 to Australia and back.
As we travel at a much less impressive Mach 0.89 instead of Concordes Mach 2.02 it may take us a little longer than it did in Concorde.
So 52 years after the real World Tour took place we will be flying the route in a series of weekend events throughout 2025.
The Plan
We plan to fly every leg on stream, with each flight being an educational insight to not only how British Airways flew their 747-400 but also feature fun facts about Concorde and the people involved in both its development and operation for BA and Air France.
